When you look back and think of the events on this day 6 years ago and all that has transpired since it causes you to sit back and think. Now that I'm in the country that this all began it gives a new perspective. The thing that I have come to realize the most is that the young men and women that are fighting this war now were in middle and high school when this started. I am impressed by their sacrifice and selfless dedication every day. It sounds funny but I'm actually one of the old farts here, and these young people I have the opportunity to work with I have gained their trust and respect, and it is a two way street. What they do, and what they endure I truly admire them. So when you think about what is going on here, and unfortunately the press does not give due justice to the "forgotten" war in Afghanistan, say a small prayer for these young men and women to have the opportunity in their lives to be successful in whatever path they choose. One additional thought, this war began because we were attacked, it began here and I have come to believe this is where it will end.
