Oh Look, A Puppy!!

A lot has happened since I last wrote. The Rockies made it to the World Series. 8 days off after beating Cleveland for the Pennant was not a blessing. I’m not really sure who showed up at the Series, but it wasn’t the Rockies. I made a small wager and needless to say I lost. I now am a Red Sox fan. That was the wager, so GO SOX, that’s for you Red. Enjoy!!
Well last week was interesting 3 out of 5 nights we were attacked by indirect fire. It’s a good thing they can’t aim very well. Night 1 heard the “Big Voice” grabbed the covers, rolled over. Night 2, was up anyway, a little annoyed, and went back to bed. Night 3, Ok this is getting old. I found out later that some of the rounds hit close to the hooch. (still annoyed) When I first got here, yea the attacks were a little unsettling, but as time as past it has become another thing it’s just easier to desensitize. I know that is hard to understand, just easier. I assure you Ozzie and Harriet are doing fine.
Snow in the high country, a few days ago it was cloudy, looked like thunderstorms. When the clouds cleared there was a dusting of snow on the highest peaks to the north. When I say highest peaks, the comparison I make is the Rockies. These mountains make the Rockies look small. In comparison these peaks are in the 18-20,000ft range. Farther north some reach 27,000ft. The range is called Hindekash, long ago these lands were occupied by Alexander the Great, and so the historical aspect of the region I’m in is fascinating.
Now to my title, “Oh look a Puppy!!” Doug and I have an interesting mix that we work with. The newest personality that provides cheap entertainment is Yosemite Sam, a Rootn’ Tootn’ machine with the attention span of a 4 year old. You will be engaged in a conversation of pertinent matters, and off he goes, hence “Oh look a Puppy”
Will see you soon
