A Distant Day in Hanauma Bay

OK folks here you go. Heavy stuff. Took this picture this afternoon after road marching back from weapons training, that's Army speak for a nice leisurely stroll. Of course we got there the same way this morning after Pt which was a nice brisk 2 mile run. The first mile was in formation, cadence and all. The 2nd mile back was the Indian run. Two columns with the last guy sprinting to the from leap frog style.

To put in the ball park this thing weight about 85lbs plus the helmet and any gear. The boots are comfortable. Now I think I'm glad to have been adding weight to my golf bag the last two months. When I get back I'll be ready to carry a fully loaded staff bag.
Time for a shower.
Ciao

No sand in this guys bag! recent scores have been above my handicap. Went to the new member appreciation reception tonight. Joe and I were the only board members to show up. Only new members to show up were a couple and their nine month old son. Joe knows him from work. He works at the feds. they were both in Iraq as military police. Nice couple.
